For this 2006 wine, we have used a blend of 83% Cabernet Franc, 11% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, which comes from our certified organic hillside vineyard in Oakville The same place where we grow our grapes for Emilio's Terrace and Sophie's Rows. We oak-age MoonSchlein blend for over 14 months and bottle-age it a year before we release it. This wine is ready to enjoy today. The nose is fruit-filled, with lots of chocolate and hints of lavender. The flavor is lush and ripe, and the wine finishes well. We recommend it for simple grilled or BBQ meats, slow cooked stews or your favorite red pasta sauce. This is an excellent affordably priced Napa Valley red.
